Doesn't each species/organism CHOOSE a mate and isn't that called evolution? And if each organism could only choose based on past/current genes and experiences it has, then how could things change simply be mutation? Mutation then would NOT be chosen by the others of the species, at all. I find this subject, at first glance, stupid and a waste of time, but on further thought, quite dangerous, if those who believe in determinism get any power. How would we be safe or move forward if all if forgiven because of background/genes?
