You beat me to it Carl, I was going to suggest the rice crackers, & I just saw some blurb about a gluten free cracker coming out by Breton I think.

Randall, I'm not sure about all the salt, health and nutritional values, but perhaps rice cakes could be used as a substitute for your lunch crackers.  I've eaten them with homemade tuna salad on top.  Just wanted to throw that idea out there.

I am enjoying the image of Daniel breaking apart oyster crackers, putting a bean inside to make a sandwich!  I'll try that the next time I am with my great-grandchildren.

Randall, senior's SNYDER'S OF HANOVER, and they do make at least one gluten-free product, and an unsalted mini-pretzel, but no combination of the two.

There's one product on their web site called Pretzel Spoonz...for dipping.  I must find out where I can buy a bag!..Melt some cheese and....

Randall, I think that Hanover makes a salt-free pretzel.  It's been so many years since I even thought about buying pretzels, that I don't really remember who makes what.

This will probably make most people gag, but one of my favorite flour-free snacks is/are(?) deep fried pork rinds.  OR (when I can find a place that makes this) freshly deep fried chicharones (aka cracklins)...still warm from the fryer.  Oh, my!  No carbs, and most of the fat melts out in the cooking process.  Smoky decadence. 

(And I do NOT believe the "fat police" anymore...if I ever did!  The damfools have led everyone astray for over 100 years.  "Repeat a lie often enough..." etc, and so on.)

Randall, I wouldn't skip the crackers - depending on the type of crackers. Whole wheat, multi grain, rye, etc. should be fine. I take my blood a few times a day, and as long as I lay off the stuff made from mostly white refined flour, things are fine. Personal opinion, but I don't think 4 multi grain crackers are going to hurt anyone.

Eat the toppings without the crackers, Randall. The less wheat products you eat, the easier it is to stay on a healthy diet.
