Beer, Beer, Glorious Beer!

Right off the top, let me say that I am no great beer expert.  I HAVE been drinking more suds lately and enjoying them, but I am nowhere near as well traveled in beer as I am in single-malt whisky. …Continue

VH® Reduced Sodium Soya Sauce

Everything you love about Soya sauce, but with 30% less salt. It's a great addition to your low sodium diets. Take your cooking and your health to heart.
This is what I buy........

Thanks, & I always go low sodium too, Daniel. With my husband's bad heart, he has to watch it.

All the food here sounds great!

Pat wIth my eyes and my brain, I thought that was linguini with marijuana sauce...  Doesn't sound tasty but maybe no one would care  :-)

Patricia we use the "Kikkoman Less Sodium".  The regular soy sauces are too high sodium.  There are a lot of Asian groceries here, so sometimes we get other brands, but always the low sodium.

Patricia, that sounds scrumptious!

Linguine with marinara sauce for dinner. Simple but satisfying. Maybe a couple of slices of garlic bread, Roasted garlic smeared over the bread with a little olive oil, and toasted in the oven.  Keeps body and conscience (I won't say soul) alive.

Small Canadian city here.....don't hear of most brands. Everything is about the same price & pretty much the same.

What do you recommend for soy sauce? Maybe I could shop online for it.

I use soy sauce on most things.  My favorite kind is TAN-J TAMARI, but it's expensive, so I buy a bottle and when it's empty, fill it's bottle from a large jug of an inexpensive brand.  When it's empty, I buy both again and start over.

I like to add the vegetables so it's not all starchy. Of course soya sauce is added at the table for more flavor.

Patricia, your Chicken Chow mein sounds good and healthy.

"I've pretty much developed my own way of it though."

I think that's what we all do...make what we like as best we can, with the ingredients and equipment at hand.

My friend Sue, who is super-skilled, has so many "toys" in her kitchen cupboards that there's hardly any room for food.  Course she does have a new fridge, too..."French doors" and all.  Doesn't hold as much as my old "side-by-side."
