Right off the top, let me say that I am no great beer expert.  I HAVE been drinking more suds lately and enjoying them, but I am nowhere near as well traveled in beer as I am in single-malt whisky. …Continue

Spud - I posted hummus recipe in discussion above.  Much cheaper and tastier to make from scratch.  I use food processor but have used a blender before too.

Patricia, what goes into your high fiber bread?

Susan, being vegetarian I don't eat seafood, but I do eat the fake chicken patties from the frozen food section at the grocery store.  They are very similar (I think, but what do I know) to a breaded filet of fish.  They make a nice sandwich with tartar sauce and pickle on a bun, like the "filet-o-fish" sandwiches they used to have at McDonalds.

Mindy, I like baking too.  I use the oven every day.

Making my high fiber bread today, & prepping potato wedges for the Actifry to cook for dinner.

I don't cook at all.  When I lived on my own it was frozen dinners.

I don't love to cook, but once it's done and my family is sitting together at the table, I'm really happy I did it.  I really enjoy baking though!  Too bad the things I bake I eat too much of!:)

I like seafood.  Too bad i have allergies.  Had one shrimp the other day and my dad was afraid that I was going to stop breathing.

Haven't swam in the ocean since I was about 8.  We were vacationing in Key West and I got stung by a jellyfish.  Been afraid of the ocean ever since.  No problem with swimming pools or man made lakes.

Daniel, I very much like chickpeas and buy hummus from a store once in a while, but it's not great.  I want to make my own.  How do you make it?

Oh yeah, I do curries occasionally.....but of course garlic will put me in agony for about 10 hours, so not worth adding it. I love garlic, but it's chosen to hate my guts....so to speak.

Loren. I love North Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Indian, Thai, and my own, mainly baked.

Love love love garlic. Grow my own for the most part. Sorry Patricia!

Also Middle Eastern. Its super easy making home made hummus, tastes mucho better, we do that a couple times a week. I haven't mastered falafel and tabouli but love eating it. Same for tamales. Gotta master those.

Joan I love your kitchen! It looks like a real home, full of love.

Oh, yes Patricia.  Now you mentioned it, I seem to remember abalone needing pounding, and I think I did do that before cooking.
