I've heard many so called atheists refer to the "soul" as if it actually existed.  My question is:  If you believe humans have a soul are you really an atheist? Continue

Sounds like the beginning of a joke, Lemual. I'm still trying to come up with a punch line.

Grinning Cat, I didn't notice that. Valid point.

Interesting how that Catholic explanation carefully avoids referring to Episcopal and Lutheran priests as such. The title belongs to them only! :-)

(I understand that some Lutheran clergy go by "priest", others by "pastor".)

I have a feeling the answer I found is not what you have in mine. I expect a shoe to drop any minute now.

"Q.  When can a Catholic Priest have a wife and children?"

I have no idea! The hunt is on.

"A. There are approximately 100 active priests in the United States who are married. Without exception they came to Catholicism from other churches. They formerly served the Episcopal, Lutheran, Presbyterian, or Methodist churches as ordained ministers. At some point they felt the call to communion with the Catholic Church and entered a process of transition. They and their families entered into full communion with the church, and the former Protestant ministers petitioned Rome for permission to be ordained as Catholic priests. They are now active in priestly ministry throughout the country."

Lemual Poot, I just read your post. How on earth could you breath? or walk? 457#, my goodness, what a challenge you faced. And t think you could get down to 284! That is unbelievable!

How do you feel after your weight loss? Do you have energy and do what you want to do?

I hope you are well, and healthy, and content with life.

OK my brilliant atheist friends, a little witch-burner trivia.

Here's an easy one for you.

Q.  When can a Catholic Priest have a wife and children?

Good for you, Lemual!  It's hard for me to appreciate fully what you have to go through, since I've never had a weight issue (I weigh 125 lbs!). I just watch my sugar and carb intake. Keep up the good work.

WOW!!!! That's impressive Lemual, & you must feel so good about it.
