I'm in Portland, OR and looking for other FFRFers in my area. I want to find some other activist-minded people to attend council meetings and organize letter campaigns and the like. Any takers?

Kudos to FFRF for leading the fight against 'Propheteering.'

Hi!  I'm new to this group, but I've been a member of FFRf for several years, and have been dropping in to various Atheist Nexus groups for about a year.  Love this whole idea.  We're growing!

I'm a bit of a prankster; it keeps me young.  I hope.  When I had to have surgery a couple of years ago I wore my FFRF "Imagine No Religion" T-shirt when I checked in to the Catholic hospital (the only hospital in town). The employees in Admitting were amused.

After the surgery, I asked my doctor if there was any way they could remove the "scarecrow" from my room for the 5 days I had to stay there. He looked at me, looked around to see if anyone was near, and then he fell down laughing.  The thing offended him, too.

The "scarecrow" stayed, but as soon as I could get out of bed, I hung a towel over it, and the LVNs kept taking it down.  Something to do.  (The TV was on a closed circuit, and half of the programming was religious. Borrrring!)
