Jefferson's Secret Bible

Just an interesting article I found about the religious beliefs of Thomas Jefferson, the first president in American history to attacked for his religious beliefs.  This article is about the document called "Jefferson's Bible", a book he worked on from 1819-1820, after he retired from public life.  Let me know if you guys can get the video to work.

Sadly, even Washington was sometimes attacked for being a deist (in those days, had a different meaning than today, but deists pretty much rejected the idea of a god heavily involved in individual lives.  Adams was a Unitarian, which is pretty much the minimum religion one can have and not be an atheist...some have speculated that he was as much a non-believer as would be reasonable for a public figure in that era.

BTW, his version hasn't been secret for decades - you can buy it at Monticello and it has even been included in tourist ads for both Monticello and the local area.
