Comment by Fatma Kurt on February 16, 2013 at 3:41am I just cannot stop thinking how different the world and the myths and the concept of civilization would turn out if the Minoans hadn't been raided by the Mycenaeans.

Comment by TNT666 on December 25, 2012 at 2:52pm And those numbers aren't changing, no matter how many anti-violence campaigns we're doing. Trouble is, our anti-violence campaigns to not have any psychological zing, none of the campaigns tell women that the males most dangerous to us are the ones we love. Bloody good argument for my chosen lifestyle of bachelorhood and childfree. It has been my informal conclusion while watching adults 4 decades that couples behave in the stupidest ways. I've come to the opinion that it's our genetic makeup that causes this. As a fundamentally hunter-gatherer species (agriculture is still too recent to have significantly modified H.sapiens), males are not supposed to live as couples with females. This kind of stuck together pairing off for life thing is a modern phenomenon in H. sapiens and the unchanging numbers through decades of anti-violence campaigning should inform women not to pair up as the Church tells them to. Exclusive/shacked-up/pairing-up is nothing more than a religious convention and his not historically found to be a H.sapiens custom, various apes would be a better model for us than spiritual guidance. Women at large would be happier going it solo (but not chaste!)
