Hi all! I am a feminist and atheist. I am excited that this group exists. What a great place to actually talk about feminisms and our own unique viewpoints.

Hello
I'm new to the website. I am trying to get more atheists vocal, especially women. I have a group on facebook:
No Gods- No Masters: Atheist Feminists
http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=6370861444

I would love it if you joined!

This is probably the only feminist group I've seen on a social networking society not full of sexists bleating on about kitchens, women and their place in them. I love the Nexus!

before i had my children i was pro choice and after i had them im still pro choice. but would i be able to do it if faced with the choice now after having children.... "no". i couldn't imagine life without them. people should decide what they want for them. experiences and wisdom is what brings you to believe and understand what is best for you. not others warped opionions on what is right.

Well said! Even if they were female, though, it wouldn't make a difference because they're still not able to speak for every woman. Just for themself.

Yeah same TRZ, I have always felt stuck between both genders (always been a tomboy and not certainly going to change that) and suffice to say, I FIND IT FUCKING FRUSTRATING TO BE A WOMAN. Not saying it wouldn't be frustrating to be a man, but when you are one thing and another is expected from you... it makes you painfully aware everyday of the gender differences even on a minor scale.

Btw, you should check up articles about men and food. Interesting stuff.
