It looks like all discussion on this ENTIRE group was stopped after Stephen Goodwin posted the last comment 8 hours ago. (This group was the number one most active group!) My theory is that all the fast and furious activity on the "How to find non-sexist long-term male partners?" topic triggered some sort of automatic shutdown and broke the group! (There were 113 entries on that brand new topic in less than a day!)

Um, I just found this group and I'm pretty much thrilled.

I just found this group after doing a google search for "feminist atheist." I frequent blogs on both topics individually, but often found that one completely ignored or went completely against my views on the other. It's refreshing to know there are more people out there like me and I'm so excited to become a part of the community!

If anyone's interested (or outraged), here's a petition to support a 2010 California ballot initiative to overturn Prop 8. Regardless of what you think of marriage, or of government endorsement of marriage (I'm not huge on either), I'd say it's still important to have equality under the law, right?

I am a feminist atheist too. Just realized the feminist part. Thanks for the group.

Amanda, you might want to start a discussion about Female Chauvinist Pigs. Things tend to scroll off the comment wall fairly quickly.
Laura B-G: I'm so glad to see someone write feminisms (plural)!

Hi all! I am a feminist and atheist. I am excited that this group exists. What a great place to actually talk about feminisms and our own unique viewpoints.
