We can do more:

We can also add real definitions, and make editing decisions and vote to publish them.

The editing mode presents you with a series of proposed definitions in the queue, and allows you to vote "Publish", "Don't Publish", or "I Don't Know". Opinionated definitions about schools, cities and towns, etc., as well as common first names are OK -- disagreeing with a definition isn't grounds for "don't publish" -- but definitions of ordinary people (non-celebrities) with uncommon names or giving full names are not OK.

There's now a new, good definition of Atheism Plus up on Urban Dictionary (largely cribbed from atheismplus.com and rationalwiki.org) which you can vote up. (27 up, 11 down right now.)

Atheism Plus

Atheism Plus designates spaces, persons, and groups dedicated to promoting social justice along with skepticism and critical thinking, and countering misogyny, racism, homophobia/biphobia/transphobia, ableism and other such bigotry inside and outside of the atheist community.

Atheism as such includes none of those ideas, being merely a lack of belief in gods; Atheism Plus is essentially an answer to the "now what" question that focuses on treating prejudice as woo.

Atheists PLUS we protest racism,
Atheists PLUS we fight homophobia and transphobia,
Atheists PLUS we use critical thinking and skepticism."

It wouldn't hurt to add one or two other reality-based definitions to Urban Dictionary, to better bury that shining stinking example of very existent misogyny to which we're responding.

As a radical feminist, may I express my opinion... half of this definition relies on strawmen. I think it's 50% ridiculous.  I need better than 50% to associate myself with a website.

I prefer to not use the word "lack" because I don't experience any lack; it feels like being a "victim" to me. 

I refute the existence of god; or I find no evidence of god. 

They feel more active voice to me. What do you think?

Looks like the misogynist(s) (both symptomatic of and perpetuating Dominator Culture) may be more successfully rigging the vote counts than are the supporters of a more Partnership based culture:

When they're on their deathbed, what do you think will be running through THEIR minds? Fuck, I'm so glad I'm not wasting my life. Sad that it's other atheists who are showing me the value of the here and now by virtue of their awfulness.
