I didn't see a category for this discussion, so I wanted to make one. What feminist books or authors is everyone reading currently?
The most recent books I read are:
1) Female Chauvinist Pigs by Ariel Levy
2) The Purity Myth by Jessica Valenti
3) Delusions of Gender by Cordelia Fine
While it can be argued that none of these books will ever have the impact of works by people like Charlotte Bronte, Mary Wollstonecraft, or Virginia Woolf I still found these books powerful and thought provoking.
Does anyone else have any ideas or opinions on powerful, thought-provoking feminist literature that affected them recently?
