........Sheitan.....it's about a French gang hanging out a relative's farm house. Old Uncle wont stop grinning One of the teens observes this guy's got to be a maniac and indeed as the film unravels into the American horror we are all used to. Meanwhile the gang is partying and the guys are too pre-occupied with getting laid before the girls suss them out for not being as mature as they are making out to be. The gang have a cool sense of humour even if they ARE French. This movie is a lot of fun and scary too.
.......Nosferatu with Klaus Minsky for being the most ghoulish presence on cellulloid ever.

I could only get Descent 2 on netfix. Yeah those deep dark caves are pretty spooky and foreboding though it helps to have been in one . What ever must it have felt like for the original explorers. !!
I should have titled my discussion Any Foreign Horror Suggestions? not the pack for one.sorry about that.

Descent is a great movie. A caving expedition goes horribly wrong, as the explorers become trapped and ultimately pursued by a strange breed of predators.

Love the classics.  Frankenstein, Dracula.  pretty much anything from 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's and very early 70's.  Gets pretty selective after the 70's.

Rob, I don't think I've heard of the Descent. Can you tell us a little about it, and why you liked it?

i'm with nate... definately have to go with The Shining. it's so awesome that i'm not even going to explain any of it, just in case anyone here hasn't seen it. Yes, it's THAT awesome!

In the Silence of the Lambs, imagine being in the 15-foot deep hole. I wouldn't last five minutes. But I couldn't do anything about it but scream when no one could hear me. That sucks.

I like 30 days of night, because its quite terrifying, since the vampires look so scary and pop out and scare you , but also because in the movie there is a statement, and I quote, "there is no god," and so thats pro-atheist right there. I love it! but i dont love it just for that statement lol
