Just saw Senseless. I put it as a favourite because for once its not mindless. World Bank cog in the wheel gets kidnapped for conning poor countries into loans they can't pay back for US leverage in the world. As the kidnapper remarks....better than a peace treaty. Disturbing clinical sadism hard to watch but off-set by intelligence throughout and well acted.

.....Funny Games) chilly sociopath film descends from an innocent request to borrow some eggs to mental violence to murderer.Callous game .
........The Vanishing ( foreign version) horrific as utterly plausible. Kid-knapping and buried alive tale. This one spooked me so much I wouldn't dream of poking my head near someone's car window to consult their map if asked for directions anymore.Sociopaths seem utterly normal.

Picnic at hanging rock.....full of beauty.Some would disagree its horror but plausible Nature gone weird film to me.Australian wilderness resents.

OK, Michele.  I have one masterpiece to mention since the genre began.  I’m not talking about just literary that goes back to Edgar Allen Poe and even beyond than the Bram Stoker’s Dracula or Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.  I was eight years old when it came out and it scared the heck out of me and my friends and I.  We were talking about if for weeks.  In any case it was the first of its kind.  Eerie music, crazy scientist, and the Thing that wound up being the most successful TV actor of all time, if we consider duration of the show.

Can you guess the show?

........Wakewood and The Ceremony......Zombie and possession films. Flicking through my Amazon reviews gave it 5 stars but can't remember being impressed-was a while though.
........The Perfect Host...Wry horror film-you guessed it-devolves into cannabilism.
........Baisse-Moi.....shouldn't sneak this in but its too good. Some porn. violent in a scene some men find horrific. A comparetively hard-core Thelma and Loise deal. Sexy and very cool

.....Audition.......has to be thee best japenese horror. It has its own style from most Japenese horror and more sophistication. This one will stay with you.

.......Buried....Hard to believe a whole film about a bloke buried alive in a box could sustain itself just being a bloke buried alive but it does. Terror and claustrophobic and being buried alive.
.......Seed.........hard-core though I could not get past a PETA exposure of real dogs being skinned alive on a Chinese fur farm. Still practised as the Chinese fur-ban is in its infancy and till it gets going the animal humane laws they are working on won't happen. If you surf past these 1st five minutes this is a dark and sadistic film. Mainly I am warning you not to be as silly as me who said" Viewers Warning? Wot Warning it can't be THAT bad "
........Shadow......for Nuot Arquint......as a sadist not that anything sadistic happens
but seems like this guy takes acid and into kinky stuff while on it in his private life-he is just too convincing. He alone makes the movie Theo's.
..........The Human Centipede......the sequel is as good. You are not going to believe how gross gets. Funny too.
