Comment by Paula T. on March 10, 2013 at 12:43pm So glad to hear he recovered and is back to normal. It's tough when our 4 legged family members are sick...they can't communicate when they are sick or hurt.
Dominic, thank you for sharing part of your brood! I don't know how I missed them when you originally posted them! I think it's great that you are able to to follow a dream and your heart to do what you truly want to do :)
Comment by deepthought42 on March 9, 2013 at 4:43pm Thanks Paula and Steph. He recovered from the surgery quickly, and figured out how to use the cone as a battering ram. >_< He's back to normal now and his eyes are much easier to see. :)
Comment by Dominic Florio on January 8, 2013 at 9:45am Thanks. That is only a fraction of what I have. I lost my job a couple of years ago and I decided to retire on disability. So now I have the time to do what I have always done, but in a bigger way, is to rescue. I am a foster parent for pug rescue and have six of my own. I also have 3 cats, 2 goats, 2 prairie dogs, 12 guinea pigs, 3 sulcata tortoises, fish, canaries, finches, keets, cockatiels, 1 cockatoo, 3 conures, doves, pigeons, quail, roosters, chickens, guinea fowl, peafowl, ducks, and frogs. Most are rescues.

Comment by Paula T. on November 28, 2012 at 11:18pm Sorry to hear about Tornado's surgery and that he has to wear the cone. I have rottweilers and in the past we've had to use the cone. the poor things practically had to be led around so they didn't continuously run into walls and doorways.
I received a catalog from "In the Company of Dogs" and they have a collar that helps keep pets from scratching or licking wounds. Here is the link in case you want to check it out :)

Comment by deepthought42 on November 28, 2012 at 6:50pm Torpedo, my family's shar-pei, had to have eye lid surgery today. Thanks to modern science, he is ok and now resting. Praise FSM! He isn't liking the cone though... :(
