Here's the video of Mitt's Climate Change laugh line. You can see how the audience ate it up.

To  Mitt Romney, Climate Change is a laugh line.

Climate Change Is a Great Punchline, Mitt

President Obama promised to begin to slow the rise of the oceans … (Pause for effect, look of mild, mocking amusement on your face. Audience will chuckle here.)

And heal the planet. (Another pause for comedic effect.)

My promise (Pause) is to help you and your family. (Cheers.)

Did you get the joke? It's hilarious that President Obama cares about climate change and promised to do something about it. Mitt Romney will totally not give a crap about that at all, aren't you glad?

Plastic everywhere...  soon the world will be wrapped in a virtual plastic bag.    not that we need reminder!   A number of people have said "Every snowflake in the avalanche proclaims, it wasn't my fault" (something like that).  It's up to all of us.

Davey,

Please make sure you invite everyone in this group after you start the new Climate Change group. I'd like to continue reading and commenting about it.

I also tried to set up an outline of subject matter and found it difficult as it kept growing. That in itself would be an interesting independent topic for discussion. Why hasn't anyone commented on my discussion about HOME SOLAR CELLS?

Thanks,

Chris

Reading through the comments twice, I'm not sure what to add, except to acknowledge the strongly held points of view.  Thanks for the thoughts.

I'd be hard pressed to suggest something for you, as I find I am less and less active, just like 100s of other users who fatigued from A|N and T|A, due to inactive 'groups'. I would overhaul the entire concept of both of these Ning sites, delete most groups, and use stronger search engines to pinpoint conversations we want to participate in. I've suggested this elsewhere in appropriate conversations.... IMO, the only reason to create 'groups' is to create 'safe-havens' to get away from certain haters, as experienced from males in feminist groups for example.
I see overpopulation driven earth deterioration as the first political priority of our civilisation... so to 'chat' about environmental factoids among a half dozen people is quite unproductive. We need to get out there to the 'masses', on Ning and the real world, and work on our argumentation skills.
Changing political paradigms is less about facts than it is about power of persuasion, we could all improve on this :)

I do like the idea of going to a category, such as a category of

banter,

communities,

ecology,

economics,

government,

hobbies.

personal comments,

philosophy,

politics,

science with subsections,

sports,

work related subjects by occupation.

Good heaven, trying to catalog topics would be a herculean task.

TNT666, help me understand a preferred way to join a group or start a new one. When I have something to post, I do a A/N search to see if there is a topic under which it would fit. If this were an ideal site, how would you design it. I like the idea but don't know how to make it happen. I certainly wouldn't want the job.

I just went through the first 8 pages of groups and there are so many, and some are impossible to categorize.
