I thought everyone realized that The Satanic Bible was nothing more than re-invented Crowley/Thelema, but I must admit I had a flirtation with thinking LaVey was a magician, as he had, to use Crowley's terminology, "uttered the Word of the Aeon": Indulgence. But then Crowley warned against taking any isolated part of the Pantheon and its dogma and making it yours, and LaVey had embraced Typhon. Aquino merely found a cognate in the Egyptian pantheon, Set, though I thought of his church as The Temple of Saps.
