Hello Ian and thank you. I am here primarily because I am an atheist and I live in Denmark - I am just looking for some contacts with similar people here in DK. I also like to chat with people and discuss issues.

I am not Danish either - I am English - but I live here in Denmark, in Viby J, - and I have been here for over 10 years now. I have been a strong atheist for many, many years.

i prefer English but you have every right write in danish... i guess i should learn a bit of danish. is it hard? any book you recommend? thanks for the welcome!

Hi there!

i am not danish..sorry! just love your country i would like to get some prespective and some insight from you guys. By the way i believe this network is mostly americans because they have a serious problem there...many people don't think for themselves so atheist need to unite more so there lifes can be a bit better!

Jeg er ikke dansk men har boet i Danmark de sidste 23 år. Er det ikke nok. Og nej, det er ikke så ligefrem og nemt at være ateist i DK. Vi er sgu omringet af alle mulige kvaksalvere og de snothjerner der tror på dem. "Folkekirken" har agså alt for meget magt og alt for stor plads i statsforvaltning. Mens min nyfødt søn lå i en kuvøse på kommunehospitalet i Århus havde han ingen navn, officielt. Hvorfor? Fordi han ikke var døbt. Havde vi ikke fået ham døbt kunne vi ikkke få lov at bruge hans navn på gravsten. Så! De pampere i kirken har det alt for godt. Hvis man skulle meldes ind i kirken i stedet for ud ville de forsvinde. Kan I lugter hvor meget min pis koger nogle gang?
Nå! Nok om det. Jeg vil være med.

Actually,excuse me as I joined the group as I was commenting on the book 'Society Without God',mentioned on a post by Lorri....I love Denmark,and have met some hah house harriers from Arhus where many of the books interviews took place....but although atheist ,am not a 'Danish Atheist'.....but support you and wish well to all!

yeah... nu rykker vi sgu.

Lad mig først og fremmest sige at jeg ikke startede denne gruppe med nogle specielle... nationalistiske... eller patriotiske bagtanker. Jeg er klar over at ateisme er en relativt "simpel" sag i Danmark, og jeg tror at vi generelt set har meget lidt brug for support fra andre af samme overbevisning.

... men nu startede jeg altså gruppen... og her er vi.
