Over the past few years I've become less and less sure of what my political views are (finally moving from Christianity to atheism certainly didn't help).

I guess I'm a moderate with Libertarian leanings? I'd like the government to largely back off and not interfere with our lives, though I recognize that in some cases it's the best choice, such as with roads.

I'm certainly open to new ideas, though.

I grew up a hard, hard, core Republican, and flirted with libertarianism in college. These days I consider myself a moderate who can't stand the more obnoxious aspects of the American Left (i.e. maternalism) and Right (theocratic militarism).
