Haha. I guess that came off a little bit unclear. The lower and middle class are being financially destroyed. Their savings are being wiped-out and they are inhibited from climbing up the socio-economic ladder. This explains the widening gap between rich and poor.

That made me think of this article that I read recently on Mises.org about the Fed's war on the middle class. It's about how the Federal Reserve's inflationary finance policies are destroying the middle and lower class.

I want to explain the above picture. I saw this in the town that I'm now living in. The bottom "FU" sign is a movie poster that the theater in the same strip mall put in front of the Countrywide Home Loans office.

I don't know if the "FU" is more of my attitude toward the bailouts and nationalizations going on, or if it's more of how Countrywide kinda felt toward their customers.

Either way, I thought it was worth sharing.

I grew up a hard, hard, core Republican, and flirted with libertarianism in college. These days I consider myself a moderate who can't stand the more obnoxious aspects of the American Left (i.e. maternalism) and Right (theocratic militarism).
