Asa Watcher, the RSS reader is a section on the group's page where RSS feeds go. You should see it between the discussion forum and the comment wall.

You can bone up on RSS feeds here. In short, it's a feature of some website where they put links to new content on a special page. The RSS reader will list the new links, so you can see at a glance what's new on a number of web sites all in one go. Outside of the one here, reader.google.com is a popular site to collect and read your RSS feeds.

Honestly, I'm not sure it makes sense to have the RSS reader on this page. What makes more sense is the RSS feeds for this page. Apparently, there's one for our discussion forum, and one for the Nexus' Latest Activity. How you can get to them depends on your browser. On Safari, it's an "RSS" icon at the right edge of the address bar.
