So, I am a student at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, and I am somewhat dismayed to find that there isn't an atheist or skeptic group on campus! I am thinking about finding out what it would take to start one... nd wondering if there is anyone on here who is a fellow student, and whether you think there would be any interest here, or would like to help.

Post this question on the Boulder and Denver Atheists meetups.  The pres of one of the local university atheist groups is in both meetups.  I also highly recommend joining both meetups.  There are a lot of great people that can definitely help you out.

Good luck and hope to see you at one of the upcomming meetups.

Diana,

The Secular Student Alliance can give you everything you need to start a group: http://www.secularstudents.org/thisweek/gsp/startingagroup

We also have a board member who's a student at CSM.  I'll put you in touch.

Well, I found some others and I've started a group, and we're trying to do big things in the coming year, so Mines students shoould find us on Orgsync (Secular Student Alliance at Colorado School of Mines), and others who'd like to be involved should find us on facebook at facebook.com/groups/SSACSM :)

I hate the noise cycles make. Then there's the Indianapolis 500 fans, the majority of which are rednecks. Interview them or a typical Pacer fan (big news as they face the Miami…See More
