Is there any interest in a get-together on the south side of Denver? Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock, someplace like that?
I joined the Denver meetup a couple years ago. I joined the Boulder meetup and the Mile High Skeptics both a couple months ago. Boulder is more active but like you say, it's a bit of a drive especially on a week night.
In response to several comments about social activities in Denver, I can confirm that the local groups have not been very active socially in late 2011 and early 2012. I know the some of the leaders of the Denver based groups and they have been busy with other stuff. I can offer two suggestions: 1) check out the Boulder Atheists' social calendar if you don't mind going that far north and 2) if you are a member of the Denver Atheists Meetup, send a message to Eric Meer volunteering to host a casual social gathering in the Arvada/Lakewood/Golden area and have it added to their calendar.
If anyone in the Golden/Lakewood area wants to meetup for a happy hour there's the Blue Canyon in downtown Golden. Downstairs would be good for up to 10. Any interest in the next few evenings or weekends?
Would also like to meet more local heathens. Golden/Lakewood area is perfect.
There is a meetup for Denver atheists (http://www.meetup.com/denver-atheists/) They don't seem to do a lot of social type gatherings.
I was born and raised in Denver. Currently living in Houston. I'm sick and tired of the bible belt crap. I'm looking for work back in Denver. I'm looking to network with atheists/skeptics from Colorado.
