Nation Unsure Which Candidate's Plan To Destroy The Environment Wil...

“The candidates have so many comprehensive ideas for ensuring that our overheating planet—as well as human society in general—is pushed well beyond the point of no return, but it’s impossible to tell which one will go slightly farther in reducing unemployment.” Voters nationwide reportedly found themselves even more on the fence after learning that both candidates had pledged to build dozens of job-creating nuclear plants that, in the event of a minor mishap, could render vast regions of the nation immediately unlivable.

Thanks for that concise diagram, Ruth!

There's so much entanglement in politics here... I'll quote from Naomi Segal's "Naomi's Picks" with advice for U.S. voters tomorrow:

It's not just the President! ...
Unless the Democratic candidate for any race in your area, local, state-wide or national, is a complete nut-case/wacko/dangerous person, pull the Democratic lever and vote straight Democrat.
... Increasingly ... the Democratic Party has become the “big tent” party, while the Republicans have chosen to represent the narrow very conservative right wing.

(who are promoting short-term profit$ over our survival on this planet!)

...even the most moderate Republican still is part of the total number which determines who controls legislation ... For the sake of anyone who isn’t part of the 1%, no really for the sake of all of us, Democrats have to ... hopefully take both the House and the Senate in Washington.

Hey Ruth! Davey Lee (the one who created this group) unfortunately left the site - is there a way you can take over the administration/moderating of this group? I know it's an important topic for you.

But humans have sped up 'climate change'.  Sure it changes naturally, but that doesn't mean humans haven't interfered.

Comment by Tonya Wynn on October 24, 2012 at 1:51pm

There have been 5 mass extenctions on Earth before humans evolved into, well, us(on Nova).  Many climate changes have occurred because weather is always changing, never static.  Weather may also be influenced by the changing magnetic polarization of ...the poles!  This has happened several times, as well.  Certain areas are getting colder and others warmer, this is also natural if you compare it to ancient history and not modern history.

We need to focus on pollution and less on this climate change nonsense.  Pollution is real and measurable and destructive.  'Climate change', the very phrase, is silly since earth's climate changes and will until earth is burnt up by the sun.
