Would it be f'd up to show up at a bigfoot convention in a Chewbacca costume?

Ok, if we want to go down the bigfoot route for conversation...holy crap, do I ever have a train-wreck like fascination with paranormal phenomena and cryptozoology. I used to listen to Coast to Coast AM with ironic glee until George Noory turned it into a forum for angels and alternative medicine BS.

Anyway, Bigfoot. What I've always found hilarious about Bigfooters is that they are split into two campers. There are your Loren Coleman types (and Loren seems like a nice guy) that severely want to legitimize Bigfoot with theories about primatology and unknown hominids. They want Bigfoot to be a flesh and blood ape and they want you to treat them like honest naturalists. The crazy aunts in the attic of the Bigfoot community are those New Agers that Bigfoot is a some kind of totemic, pan-dimensional creatures that flag down UFOs and weave dream-catchers.

I've wanted to attend a bigfoot convention ever since I heard that these two communities do not get on well at all when under the same roof. Oh, the darkhearted lulz would be epic...

without the belief...messed up that joke.

How can you have hope or morality with the belief in a mysterious, unknown hominid roaming the Pacific Northwest?

Haha!! Yah, I hear ya. I didnt figure you did, but good to know.
and i hope you are not too skeptical about bigfoot. After all, you cant prove that he doesnt exist. >) I think he is also from kentucky, no?

I'm 'out' to whoever asks. Unlike theists, I don't randomly ambush people with my opinions concerning the Great Sky Daddy. Mostly, I disappoint people more with my skeptical view of Bigfoot and alternative medicine.

Good find, Wes. Im still cathing up too and love having episodes stockpiled. I like seeing that there are actually atheists in kentucky......you and 41 others. There is hope afterall!!!

Are you an 'out' atheist there?

Hello! I'm a new listener to the podcast. I'm starting from the beginning and making my way (on episode 10, right now). Besides the extremely erudite commentary, I enjoy the DnD references way too much.
