While in queue at the bank earlier today I overheard three folks in a conversation about religion. It seemed to be Christianity-based. This elderly lady was talking to a 30-something year old guy who…Continue

Hi, everyone. First post here. I'm so glad to have found this site--had no idea such a thing existed. I was beginning to think I was a lone nonbeliever/skeptic where I lived, but here we go. Anyway,…Continue

I would be interested in reading any ideas you may have on the discussion topic I posted re: church attendance - the original Facebook?
@OmarB you've reminded me of the lyric to Monty Python's galaxy song
"So remember when you're feeling very small and insecure
How amazing and unlikely is your birth,
and hope that there's intelligent life, somewhere up in space
Because there's bugger all down here on earth."

Comment by caribatheist on July 2, 2011 at 7:16pm No problem Andre! Glad you are now in the nexus. It's a nice band in here, we all get to play off each other. Hopefully one day we'll get the masses from where we come from to listen to our tune.

Comment by Andre Woodvine on June 30, 2011 at 8:39pm Hello all, I think I might be member #42 :)
Thanks to Caribatheist for making me aware of atheistnexus!
I thought I was a bit tiggerish for a while there - but it seems there might be a few non-theists in Barbados after all.
Cheers!
Comment by caribatheist on March 26, 2011 at 12:25am Thank you to brownonmyskin, Mr. Apostate and all of C/A. It is a privilege to be able to promote freethought for the Caribbean. Glad that our region has got some recognition.
Many of you on this forum do great work with your discussions, comments and blogs and that makes it easy for me to get ideas and find things to write about. Let's keep the debates going. I hope that one day we can combine forces and put something out there that will lead to long term change in the Caribbean. We need to work together if we are going to make any inroads into the hold that religion has on our people and their way of thinking.
