So increasing taxes and taking on more debt won't harm the economy as long as God is on your side and is looking out for you. I can't but help laugh at such things. The current ruling party once used as a slogan I find fitting: "God is good all the time!" They got that from the churches. Even the church I once belonged to (which was far from mainstream religion) uses that slogan.

The govt here just had a HUGE prayer breakfast here yesterday morning. To pray for the economy apparently...while they increase taxes AND are currently borrowing from the IMF again! So I am sure you can understand the state of the country's economy at the moment.
