lol (cant begin to spell youre name) yeah Modesto is also known for a bunch of famouse homicides, Recently we ranked #16 (I think) on Forb's  "most miserable cities, Stocton and Sacramento topped it and this is IN the country lol Bryanderthal, yeah it's a giant gouvernment Ponzi scheme-drug dealers aren't the only ones making money (but that's a discussion for a diferent thread lol)

Aside from the fact that I have had a relative living there recently, what comes to mind most when *I* hear the name 'Modesto' is Scott Peterson.

I lived in Tracy when I was considering the job in Modesto. Basically it was meth from Fresno and Ecstasy and Acid from San Fransisco with different strains of Marijuana trading places from north to south. I agree 100% about prohibition David. Looking back now, I'm so glad I never took that job.

well I haven't witnessed any more trafficking here any more than other valley cities...But prohibition invites crime anyway.

I heard that about Modesto and Tracy. I think one reason Meth may have been big there is the same reason it was big where I used to live in NE Oregon - Farms and easy access to anhydrous ammonia along

lol, no. Was not a good thing. About 12 years ago, or so, I almost took a job with Modesto PD, Narcotics, as Modesto was the drug trafficking capitol of N. California. ;P

I'm surpriesed folks know my town lol...yeah cruising is prohibited I got a traffic ticket for that...;) and what is Modesto known for Bryanderthal? lol We are the CA monopoly on car theft (2010 estiment) or was it a good thing? we have good wine? ;)
