Okay, so this is simple. Let's do something to help each other out. Post your blog or blogs, and try to take the time to visit the blogs of others who post here. IE, at least visit the blogs of the people posting before and after you, so check often. Try to comment! I'll be checking in on this thread and visiting and trying to give feedback to every blog posted. I love supporting atheist and liberal blogs. :)

Absolutely, it's very ok!  I really appreciate your thoughts - it's always nice to know someone likes what you do, whether you necessarily agree with them on everything or not (actually, it's a little weird when someone agrees with you on everything) :)

Hi Group.

New to nexus.

My blogs are as follows:

www.challengereligion.blogspot.com

www.takethebiblechallenge.blogspot.com

The reason I started the blogs, I was sick and tired of staying motels/hotels/holiday accommodation and having the bible presented to me......it was the 'straw that broke the camels back', so after a bit of encouragement from the wife, I decided to actually stop moaning and do something. The more I started looking the more I realised how our cultures are literally riddled with religion!

Any ideas I am happy to share and will start checking out some of the blogs listed.

All the best, Sean

Some interesting stuff there - commented on a few posts (apologies though, I didn't spot your rule on no more than 100 words after I'd commented - I do ramble a bit, I'm afraid!)  Good thoughts, concise and succinct ... I shall be back!

Shit.....missed this comment as well.......this blogging lark is hard work......think I need a full time admin assistant to coordinate........and I only have about 4 followers!!!! Don't worry about the 100 word statement, wasn't sure if it clogged up the download/refresh speed........there again i don't know the first thing about the mechanics of the internet!!!! Hopefully that problem has sorted itself out with my comments box!!!!

Hi, my blog is at emilyhasbooks.com & recently I became a contributor at FriendlyAtheist- writing book reviews.

Hello my blog is at Reason Being.  I look forward to checking out some of your blogs!

Here is my blog about atheism, skepticism and science. It is quite new so not much content on yet, but I post a weekly blog.

The Blogging Skeptic

I am trying to make indian atheism popular please suggest and help to do so that fooling by the Indian Gurus could be challenged, as India's major philosophical debate has been atheism and not spiritualism as the vested interests have been promoting.  For example Yoga was laughed at  by 8th century India's one of the most commended philosophers Kumarila Bhatt as a sheer fantasy.

My blog is called West Coast Atheist at westcoastatheist.wordpress.com. I'm looking for other atheist bloggers or activists on the West Coast (not just CA where I'm from) to profile or feature on my blog. If you're interested in guest posting, email me at tkmlac@gmail.com.

Pope's 'exorcism' caught on film video

Posted by Debra Stevenson on May 21, 2013 at 2:37pm 0 Comments

There is a video of the Pope's 'exorcism' caught on film.  The man isn't demon possessed, there are likely no 'real' demons.  He's just delusional and doesn't want to accept personal responsiblity for his own behavior for his own dysfunctional life.

Do you support 'traditional' marriage, vot now ad

Posted by Debra Stevenson on May 21, 2013 at 2:28pm 2 Comments

There is an ad that reads ' Do you support 'traditional' marriage? Vote Now"!  .

No, I don't support 'traditional' marriage because there is no such thing. I support heterosexual and same-sex couples marry each other legally , yes.  'Traditional' marriage promoters largely do not believe that heterosexual women are co-equal to their husbands.  Their only purpose in 'traditional' marriage is to sexually satisfy their husbands if they can and raise children and do all…

War on Christmas in May

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/21/texas-merry-christmas-bill_n_3312786.html?utm_hp_ref=politics

i've got no problem with everyone saying "merry christmas" on christmas day.  however, they've turned it into an entire holiday season where it lasts a month or more.  in those situations it should be perfectly acceptable to say "happy holidays" or call it a…

My first funeral as an atheist

Posted by Two Cult Survivor on May 21, 2013 at 11:30am 0 Comments

I posted the bulk of this on another thread, but wanted to add some context separately.

I finally confronted my faith and embraced the fact of my atheism late last August, 2012. Days after I revealed my "epiphany" to a few friends who knew me from another message board, my sister died from Lou Gehrig's Disease (which pissed her off because she hated catching a disease from someone she never f---ed).

THAT was my sister, understand? She was a beautiful, life-loving, potty-mouthed…
