Inclusion of this drawing is most interesting, for it is one of William Blake's illustrations of Stedman's report on the torture of slaves in Surinam. Some of Blake's antislavery engravings are oft used as cover art or illustrations in contemporary works on slavery or colonialism.
I don't know who Kenneth Neal is, though.

Mental (religion) Slavery (capitalism) has been its own weapon of mass destruction.
The 1% are expecting to keep the rest of us locked in this way of life by any means necessary.
Methods of punishment varied back then, but surely, we have become much more humane as a civilization...

OK. I am venting. My mother died two weeks ago. She was a “god fearing christian.” Before her death she refused all medical treatment. She wanted to be left alone.
