Comment by Ruth Anthony-Gardner on October 3, 2012 at 10:18pm Thanks for the scary bird pictures, Sentient Biped. Some call out for captions.
Oh wow! How wonderful! So many new posts here.
Your yard sounds wonderful Sentient - a real treat for the birds.
Ruth - that's a great cartoon - and if they keep cutting down the trees to build roads - that's exactly what it will look like.
Sentient - cool picture from Birdzilla. Nice.
Crocoduck is great Joan - thanks. People just don't understand evolution - you are right.
Comment by Joan Denoo on October 3, 2012 at 9:02pm What is the bird at the tail, a pigeon? I named your photo "sharpigeon" until corrected.
Comment by Sentient Biped on October 3, 2012 at 8:51pm That one would scare me at the feeder too!

Comment by Sentient Biped on September 30, 2012 at 8:54pm Beautiful little bird.
I just added a thistle feeder to my yard. Now they can get mixed birdseed, or thistles, whichever they want
There is also a suet feeder.
Haven't seen one of these. Mostly house finches, chicadees, and jays.
