Opinions please. I am disconcerted to see this man - whom I consider to be an authoritarian, puritanical moralist - standing for the Greens as their candidate in the Higgins by-election.
Perhaps I'm being unfair to him: I have only read his opinion pieces, not his books. Still, those should convey his views. In particular he supports censorship of the internet. He advocates a post-secular morality. Anyone more familiar with his work than I am? Should we do more (I've been doing a small amount) to build up a campaign against him? I'd like to see the Greens taught a lesson over this.

I have his book, The Freedom Paradox: Towards a Post-Secular Ethics, but have not got around to reading it yet. Other than that I know nothing of him. Will have a browse through his website.
