Mohamed: The problem with Muslim woman is that they're not just willing to give superiority to the man up in the sky, also they would gladly do it for any man! I know many woman who put on the veil or the Burqa only because their husband wants them to... Again, I don't think its spooky, its a choice, a poor one for sure but yet a choice...

Sufian: Honestly about the burqa its funny that someone reaches the point where she thinks for herself that their is an all powerful man in the sky who will be happy if she covers her face. How do they convince themselves with that, just can't grasp the idea.

Qurat: The article is good, the truth is if egypt where i live was a majority of atheists and some started to send death threats to muslims or anyother minority i will defending them but it just never happens the other way round.

Yah, nice article...I don't think I will ever understand how the muslim minorities act in the west, so defensive! And most of the time immature...But are there enough ex-muslims for it to become a movement? I think more numbers will change the situation, maybe when there are a couple of thousands in this group :)

Great article. People need to be hearing more from ex-Muslims, but instead they're listening to apologists. Usually the claim is "you don't know anything about Islam" if you have something negative to say about it; I guess ex-Muslims who grew up in Islam and have had their lives threatened don't know anything either?

Welcome to the group, I'm from Jordan... So tell me this, I'm seeing this chinese girl now, and she says that woman with the burqo (covered face) are "spooky." I'm not sure, but I feel like its a bit racist, when I think about it sometime it does feel spooky. I just don't know, what do Ya'll think?

I personally feel a little muslim my name is Anwar. More importantly, I am an adjunct professor at a CUNY school in NY. I constantly see those poor girls in shrouds of clothing simply because of their faith.

haha, I do get that a lot...It's not that I don't see ugliness in it but to pick the good from the bad is important, I believe. I mean do you ever see people just giving up Islam all together? I don't think that's gonna happen any time soon, besides that religion doesn't have to be a monster all the time, look at the west, they've figured out how to keep a majority of theists that don't kill each other over shit, maybe we can do that too?
