Whether you're a professional, a student, an amateur, an enthusiast, whatever! Lots of atheists love science. Might as well have a group for it!

Feel free to nerd out, link articles, talk about your favorite field of research, whatever!

The icon is from www.wearscience.com.

I've been super busy with school this semester -- no time for Atheist Nexus, sadly!!
If anyone who's around here a lot wants me to toss them moderation privileges to run this group or anything, just send me (Sara) a message! Thanks!

Removed ability to send mass messages to everyone in the group. At 1000+ members, that seems like asking for spam.

Offer still open if anyone active in the group wants moderation privileges, but it appears everything has been going smoothly with all kinds of great discussions without moderation. Fantastic! :)

Thanks Howard. That's cool. I've passed it along.

Thanks for the suggestions Randy Rose. Still didn't find the thread I was looking for, but I stumbled across some others equally as interesting.

@Claudia M. Mazzucco:

That's not a bad joke, that is essentially a good portion of one of the Hitchhiker's Guide books. Anything that reminds me of that series can't be a bad.

@Boothby171: HAHAHA. I think the word "scientists" should also be in quotes there ;) You should most this into the Atheist Humor group (although it being an old article, I assume it's already there). Very funny, thank you :)

Maybe you were thinking of this article?

"Evangelical Scientists Refute Gravity With New 'Intelligent Falling' Theory"

@MaBones: If that link below is not the right one, you can try going to google and typing in some words you remember from the argument, like gravity or religion and anything else you know was there and follow it with the operator site:atheistnexus.org.

Your search string will look like this:

gravity site:atheistnexus.org

And it will only search this site for the words you choose.

I'm new here. Was cruising through the groups and forums a few days ago and came across a very interesting discussion about gravity as a religious belief. I have searched "gravity" on the site this morning and can't seem to find it again. Does anyone know what group that thread is associated with?

Thanks DG - for both links!
