I've been super busy with school this semester -- no time for Atheist Nexus, sadly!!
If anyone who's around here a lot wants me to toss them moderation privileges to run this group or anything, just send me (Sara) a message! Thanks!

Removed ability to send mass messages to everyone in the group. At 1000+ members, that seems like asking for spam.

Offer still open if anyone active in the group wants moderation privileges, but it appears everything has been going smoothly with all kinds of great discussions without moderation. Fantastic! :)

I've ALWAYS loved science. I still do, and always will. Right now, I am on the path to be a physician (don't know what yet, but neurology has peaked my interest).

Silver, Sean Carroll, Steve Jones, Michael Shermer, Mario Livio, Susan Blackmore, L.L. Cavalli-Sforza, Martin Gardner, and many, many more. But now, me buy pretty machining equipment and re-learning to carve metal into intricate machines and tools.

Comment by UpliftedApe on July 20, 2008 at 10:10pm: Hi. Working on my Ph.D in medical physics. Went to UTSA for my undergrad. I do research in molecular and diagnostic imaging. Funny enough I work around a bunch of fundies who do stem cell research and various bacteria and yeast growth, yet sit there and agree with the pope and Bush about the morality of it during lunch debates. It's sad I know more scientists who are on the extreme edge of Christian religion, especially physicists. I swear there needs to be some sort of application that needs to be filled out that disqualifies people like this from the sciences.
