And then we have nerds. I first heard of e=mc2 in a college physics class and set out to explore it. Having been in the Navy, I calculated the energy in a pound of matter to be adequate to lift the battleship Missouri many miles high.
I think it essential to show kids what fun science can be--whether by music or math. If we'd done so, the anti-science xianity we know would have died early.
That's fun.
