Whether you're a professional, a student, an amateur, an enthusiast, whatever! Lots of atheists love science. Might as well have a group for it!

Feel free to nerd out, link articles, talk about your favorite field of research, whatever!

I've been super busy with school this semester -- no time for Atheist Nexus, sadly!!
If anyone who's around here a lot wants me to toss them moderation privileges to run this group or anything, just send me (Sara) a message! Thanks!

Removed ability to send mass messages to everyone in the group. At 1000+ members, that seems like asking for spam.

Offer still open if anyone active in the group wants moderation privileges, but it appears everything has been going smoothly with all kinds of great discussions without moderation. Fantastic! :)

Thanks to Jim Guitarzeroh for this splendid video, "The Universe" that makes physics almost understandable. Cox explains the first fractions of the first second the Universe came into existence, how quantum mechanics and the theory of relativity interact. From chaos to cosmos!  The Universe - Brian Cox Lecture

This is what happens when people do blind love, or unconditional love, no matter how rational the object of this love is:

7 people per day in the USA get incorrect limb replacements! (among several other small oops which happens in hospitals)

It's facts like this that make "science lovers" look bad, because science lovers discard such happenings as "very few" compared to the number of proper corrections... except this argument is BS... is the same type of argument by capital punishment pushers... the few errors are worth the better... nope. Hospitals cause WAY more deaths than woo treatments.
