Perennial favorite, Bill Nye, "the Science Guy," begins the video saying, "Denial of evolution is unique to the United States..." He goes on to talk about how odd that is given our technological advancement and leadership. He winds up this video declaring that "Creationism is not appropriate for children... Why are we so unusual in the Western developed world?
We can say because of the right wing lunatic extremists in the ascendancy.
To me, that begs the question. Even before their visibility and power had risen, creationists held sway in many quarters. Why so many of them and why so visible?
One more question that puzzles the hell out of me, why are so many people who do accept evolution still theists??!

Hello fellow atheists! There is a video of the Pope's 'exorcism' caught on film. The man isn't demon possessed, there are likely no 'real' demons. He's just delusional and doesn't want to accept personal responsiblity for his own behavior for his own dysfunctional life.
