SYDNEY Harbour was transformed into a sea of colour as thousands enjoyed the bright lights of Vivid.
Like moths fluttering towards a ray of light, tens of thousands of sightseers wandered towards The Rocks to view the skyline spectacle.
With the lights officially switched on at 6pm by the NSW premier Mike Baird, the MCA and Customs House put on a spectacular show, this year joined by Sydney Ferries strung with lights.
But it was the Sydney Opera House which drew the biggest crowds, with scores of people lining the barriers — smartphones in hand — to snap a picture of the brightly lit light installations.
From brightly tiled patterns to moving the sails definitely proved the crowd favourite.
