I have a bit of an ethical dilemma.
I make sculptures and mass producing them for sale. Someone suggested I try making religious figures and statues. For obvious reasons I'm not interested in doing that (Except for pagan figures, CTHULHU and the Flying Spaghetti Monster). But there may be a chance of good sales or even some orders. I mean, there is a catholic church right down the street from me.
My question is, how ethical do you think it would be to make money off something I find totally offensive?
I suppose I could do the figures and hide an atheist logo somewhere on them. Or I could depict scenes in the bible from the less read sections. Scenes involving bears, for example.
I'm just trying to find a market. I get quite a few religious people coming by at the art shows.
