If you read the entire psalm, it's easy to imagine it referring to George W. Bush because it condemns false accusers. But coming from David I'm not so sure they were false. The language is beautiful, and it is as good a laying on of curses as you'll ever hear coming out of the middle east, which is saying something.

Here's where the accusations are so pertinent to Bush:
14 May the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the LORD;
may the sin of his mother never be blotted out.

15 May their sins always remain before the LORD,
that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

16 For he never thought of doing a kindness,
but hounded to death the poor
and the needy and the brokenhearted.

Here's a link to Psalm 109, a good read,

I recently had a very long dialog with a christian about this campaign. He claimed that they are only referencing that one verse; "let his days be few; and let another take his office.". He claimed he only felt it meant that they want him out of office.

This is, interestingly enough, the same guy who criticized me for taking quotes from scripture out of context.

Sigh.

“Let his days be few;
and let another take his office.”

Not a fan of Obama, but these nice Christians are praying for the death of the President.
