Sorry if you recognize this.  I posted it in the Florida Atheists group as well.

I'm looking for a Music Business degree, and this seriously awesome guy named Sam Winikoff has and will continue to introduce me to the Florida Atlantic University commercial music program.  I got to audit the Commercial Music Forum (led by Professor Sanchez) this past Friday, April 9, at 3:00 pm and it was awesome.  The atmosphere was great, the students were really friendly, and I even got to sit in on the core meeting in the studio there, which was a treat.

I was wondering if anybody could tell me about an atheist/secular humanist society at FAU or if there even is one.

And if any of you are students there, are you in the Commercial Music program or at least know about it?

We've got some students at FAU-Boca, but they're mostly in the psych department. I'm gonna forward this thread to the one who set up a secular chapter @FAU.
Thanks.
Hi Nathan, The Deerfield FLASH social is every wednesday at 7pm. Click on the website for flash. www.freethoughtflorida.com
Yeah, I'm a member of FLASH. I haven't been to one of the meet-ups, yet (I haven't had the money, the time, or transportation to get there), but I am a member.

Thanks, though...

Nathan,

One of our MeetUp group members mentioned there was an FAU group called SMART. Our Deerfield group has another member, Manny, who is an FAU student also. He lives on campus and may be interested in finding previous members or starting up a new generation.

We will be at the Starbucks for our weekly social this Wednesday, February 23 at 7 PM. You can contact me thru MeetUp or at Sparkz37@aol.com.
