I'm signed up, and i have posted to a few of the local atheists in my Facebook list, Chris. Hopefully we get a decent turnout. (I even cancelled my MMO raid for it *gasp*) Yes, I'm a geek.

Hello! I am the organizer for M.A.S.H. (Middle Georgia Atheists & Secular Humanists) www.meetup.com/georgiamash Ironically, my name is Christian. (Let the snickering commence! lol)

We are the first Meetup group in the area, but I see there are a few of you here. I would like to formally introduce myself, and let you know we are having our first meet up September 4th at Loco's on Riverside Drive. The Meetup is Deities LTD Cocktail hour. It begins at 6pm. Feel from to stop by the website above and join our group.

I am already working with American Atheists to add our group to the National American Atheist Affiliates program (so we will recognized nationally) and hope to begin some good stuff here for people who are good without god in Central Georgia.

Greetings to you all! I sincerely hope we can unite and do good things here in Central Georgia for our community. Those who see our works will learn we can do it without a bronze age Sky daddy!

Give us a look! Thanks!

X-tian

Definitely get together if you can, we won't be there for a couple of weeks, so I can't plan anything. I'll add everyone to FB in the meantime. Stay in contact! :)

Would anyone be interested in meeting for coffee or lunch sometime? Possibly next weekend in Warner Robins or Macon? We can discuss the possibility of starting a group or revamping an old one.

We're poor folk. Live in LaGrange. Wife drives to work at Pine Mountain everyday, and we only have one car so I never get anywhere other than town for groceries. Used to visit the Atlanta group when I lived in Alabama. I'm well acquainted with Ed Buckner, Edwin Kagan, Steve Yothment, etc. Would love to go to meetings sometimes, but...

Recovering from Religion

Unless you were raised by atheist parents, you probably had some recovering to do when you left religion. The purpose of RR is to provide a landing place for people when they jump from religion. With local support groups throughout the US, Canada, UK, and Australia, and real-time resources accessible to everyone, RR is where to turn when faith has lost its luster.See More
