hi,
I have been in the Warner Robins area for 13 years now. I currently work on the base and am excited to hear about more 'Godless Heathens' moving to the area! yay!

I have been to one Atlanta Skeptics in the Pub and also a scientific meetup group that met at the same place. I very much enjoyed the meetings, but it's a bit of a trek.. 2+ hrs depending on traffic and I often have to work those weekends.

I would love to have a local group.. as long as I'm not a primary organizer (too much regular workload and travel) One thing I have really been thinking about though (in the skeptical activist area) is a Skeptical themed booth at the GA National Fair in Perry every October. It's a HUGE 2 week event.. Maybe if we got a little bit more organized, we could get some help from the Atlanta folks?

Hey! Yeah that's a little ways from us, but if we do have a barbeque or something, you're welcome to join us. Look me up on Facebook, I'm the only Stephen Fisher who went to Harrison Central High School if you need a search parameter. :) And if you meet other Atheists... always point them here so we can get a good network going. We've got to end this fear of "coming out" somehow...

Hey Stephen, I live in Griffin (an hour and 20 mins from Warner Robins). There is a church right across the street from my house so I know how you feel. My girlfriend travels there every weekday for work (Airforce) but she is a christian. Oh well, lol. Welcome to central Ga!

Hey Solo... do you guys meet up or go to any of the Atlanta meetups?

I may start one when we get there if anyone is interested. Check out the Atlanta meetup group in the meantime, it's the largest in Georgia I believe and may be the first place people searching will hit for "Georgia Atheists"... http://www.meetup.com/Atlanta-Atheists/

Hi all! We'll be in Georgia mid July. We're moving to Warner Robins, Feagan Mill (?) area... the wife and I are both atheists and want to find some friends who won't try to get us to join their church. The funniest thing about our move... there is a baptist church right over our back yard fence! lol Sundays will be interesting.
