My plan was to post biology-related news items that have broad implications, especially if they reflect on social issues. If I beat Origins to it, it can be discussed here - unless the Gorilla posts its own and ignores priority.

Sensationalize biology news? Nah. We either contribute or close shop.

Comment by ROMAN ROMACH on December 13, 2010 at 3:12pm: This site competes directly with "Origins", the Gorilla in terms of science topics, so just about any topic in the natural sciences can be covered there, including biology. But biology is now a field that encompasses everything from the beginning of life, to behavior, to life on other worlds - and since the same person can't introduce the same topic on different sites, you go where the action is.

I also find that topics introduced in the form of a question, or which are controversial, or for which there can be no definitive answer, draw the most responses. Don't you agree?
