Climate Change damaging sugar maples

Ruth, what is the protocol for sharing someone else's post. I just posted this on Facebook. Will facebook reveal your post, or should I acknowledge you.
In any event, thanks for this report on maple trees and syrup. I wish our soil and climate would produce what the trees need to grow, but I don't think they thrive here at all. We have lots of different maples but not sugar maples. If anyone knows the answer, please let me know.
