Hello all. New to AN and Atheists in Scotland. I only wish I were in Scotland right now, but connecting with like-minded folks with Scots connections will have to do. Cheers!

Hey my fellow Irn Bruisers.
My name's Nathalie and I run an anti-religious activist group based in Glasgow. This is my first day at A/N and I'm well impressed with this place.
Nice to meet you all.
Nat. :)

I agree with you, Duncan. Apparently, their numbers are getting fewer each year, which is a relief. The vast majority of them could not quote one single line from their blessed bible, yet they walk with one in front of them on the marches.

Hey there, in response to Will, definitely. I've just had the largest Orange Walk of the year go past my house, 16000 violent bigots marching up my street. Glasgow's shame.
I can't see that happening in Oxford.

Well, the church attendance figures for the estalished churches in both countries are in single figures, if I'm not mistaken, but I might be wrong as it's a while since I've been to England.
Anyway, welcome to A. in S., Will

I'm a Scot, currently living in Oxford with posh English people. Has anyone else get the impression that Scotland is more secular than England. I know there are significant pockets of religiosity in Scotland, but here in England there seems to be many more churches and denominations....

Thought I should join and prop up that corner so the rest of you wouldn't topple over.
