What is this sex thing you speak of? x.x
But seriously, there are levels of intimacy. It's not an on/off switch for a good many of us. Heck, these days, I'd be happy with a snuggle buddy...
Awww, so are you, Dr. Kellie. :)
You are a wise young woman, SEB:)
And you, too, are correct, Harridan. Trust is important. I just tend to trust almost everyone.
I don't necessarily need to trust or love a woman to have sex with her. Once again, Dr. Kellie makes a wise point. The dynamic is way different. For me, attraction can result from any number of things, from the way she laughs, or smiles at me, or walks, or maybe she has cute little quirks...or is a geek like me..you get picture haha.
Trust factors in any relationship however there are different types of trust. Trust in a casual relationship is necessary for health and discussing terms of the relationship. I'd like to think that sexual orientation shouldn't matter when it comes to trust. I think trust is a evolutionary concept that all humans need nonetheless I could be wrong.
I am actually pretty picky, but not about age. And I make exceptions ALL THE TIME. Personality and the way a girl looks at me can trump many things.
I have never had sex without attraction, but, consider, attraction is sometimes malleable.
I don't think trust plays into sexual decisions for gays as much as straights. Advancing into intimate situations with an unknown man could be dangerous for a woman, and even dangerous for the man involved if the guidelines aren't clear. Not so much for me with women.
I think it helps to at least like or be attracted to the person before sex occurs. Personally, I'm very selective about both. I have to have some trust built before it goes any further casual or not.
I am with dr Kellie. I love women for their minds, what's inside...and yes, their bodies. But that love extends to many different external packages.
Keith, I think that is just something you are going to have to be honest on. I am like that as well. No way can I go without sex! I even have a couple "booty call" ladies (don't worry, it's mutual LOL), for when I am single. A sex deprived Shannon is a very unhappy Shannon indeed.
You could always broach the subject of open relationships, if that is your thing.
