I'm not sure how I came to be notified of these comments, but I apparently am, and now I have a question. A friend of mine is a very asexual person. Companionship is all he would be looking for. I, however, am not. Sexuality is a big part of what I'd want. How can one put that delicately? And if one is attracted more to younger women than to older women, how is a man to put it so as not to draw your ire? Or is the preference itself enough to be upsetting?

Funny that, as a female, the same thing always happens to me! the men that contact me are always 10-20 years older than myself. ("always" disclaimer: did internet dating about 36 months, here and there, since the advent of internet dating. Before internet dating, I actually called one of those "phone dating" lines once, horror)

I think it goes beyond the sexes... people dating on the internet are generally frustrated with real life dating... that really says it all.

Of course requiring that your potential mate be younger can be ill perceived, but the person ill-perceiving it is obviously not the right match anyway.

If someone requires a younger person, it should come with a justification... At 25 I was dating 19, and by the time I was 40, I was dating 25. People my age are often stuck in their ways, breeding, slow in sports, slow in bed, mushy butt/lips, I was always more of a female-jock-tomboy than a romantic. So in ads, I'd generally write, just to not be insulting, -19 to +2 in age. I thought I was displaying some degree of compromise with people's sensitivities.
 
But I must confess, I was really taken aback by Greg's ad as well, because NEVER, in all my months of looking online, did I ever see anyone EXCLUDING his entire age range.

Females looking for Sugar Daddies are looking not for slightly rich people, they're looking for REALLY rich people, and not geeks! they're looking to be taken out on the town in grand style, to fly around in jets, so I can't really imagine what his "niche" is at all... but of course it's not my concern, which is why I hadn't commented previously.

Been watching this for a while and keep being undecided between laughing out loud or just shaking my head. All you Gary-bashers are a) not in his target group and b) exhibiting the ways of religious upbringing by rejecting what you find outside of your own box. Because his offer doesn't appeal to you, it mustn't to anyone else. Every time I register with a dating site, guess who dominates my visitor's list? The ladies between 5 and 15 years older than me... go figure. Good luck Gary, I'm pretty much in the same boat with you. I've just been around the world a bit, and I can say there's no better way to widen one's horizon... E.g. not all folks in Latin America or Southeast Asia are religious, and not all in the West aren't gold diggers... The world is so big and colourful.

On libertarianism... seems most people forget Noam Chomsky is libertarian, actually, he probably exemplifies it best from an ideological perspective, among popular icons.

Well, now it's my turn.

I am 31, recent IT grad, from South Carolina, though I have lived all over and might move again, probably this time for good, as the south doesn't seem to be getting any more tolerant of gays or non religious people.

I love books, science, and computers. I am easy going and fun loving. I can have fun doing almost anything. I am a bleeding heart liberal and a politics junkie. I don't have many requirements. The only ones are as follows:

-no religion (obviously not a problem here)

-no kids

- please be a left winger

-please be out of the closet

That's it, really! And I am always in the market for new pals, so hit me up if you think I'm neat.

We don't have any real Libertarians, though. And probably won't any time soon. If gay people are smart, they will vote for Obama. That is actually where I just was- picking up my campaign materials from PridePAC. :)

Well, if we had a real Libertarian, it wouldn't be as bad, on the homosexual rights grounds.  Ron Paul just isn't a real Libertarian.

Then we'd just have the problems I have with Libertarians in general, which are many.
