I always appreciate helpful criticism, and from what you and others here have conveyed, I will bring that into my presentation.

Just out of curiousity though, why do you think that your opinion about libertarianism doesn't matter to me, because you are gay?

I don't have a chip on my shoulder, I am just telling you, as have others here, what your preferences come off as, Gary. I am not saying that is what you ARE, how could I possibly know that? But that is how it comes off.

And yes, libertarianism is off putting as well, IMO. Though, since I'm gay, what I think probably doesn't matter much to you. I'm still a woman though, and minus the black and gay part, I am in the realm of what you would be looking for, and I am just helping you out and telling you how that post comes off. You can do with that information what you will.

You know if you microanalyse anything with a chip on your shoulder you are bound to find what you are looking for.

I am 45 and I would prefer 25 to 38? And beautiful inside and out?

That is offputting? Maybe that is my mistake in being so bold.

Well, and I know this is not PC, I do value external beauty in a mate.

Sorry, but I would be being misleading if I didn't say that.

A sugar daddy I am not, just didn't want to come off the opposite - a slacker who just wants to hookup without commitments and doesn't have something of his own to add.

And of course you really have to read in something hard to think I am shallow, like affirmatively ignoring all the other things that would thrill me in a like minded lady - philosophy, intelligent conversation, long term companionship, et al.

Like you said, we are all looking for the one in good faith, and however inartfully done, it is still an honest reach out to others.

Being an atheist makes it that much more difficult, and, apparently, being a libertarian makes it even more so! 

(BTW, some of the same reasons I am an atheist lead me to be a libertarian as well)

Notwithstanding all that, I do appreciate the feedback from all, it gives me a more externally objective view of what I come off sounding like.

As a woman in the age bracket he is looking for, I'd find it very off putting. Looks like a man who is more concerned with superficial characteristics, and his listing of his financial assets combined with that age thing makes him look like a creepy old sugar daddy.

I didn't mean to beat anyone up.  I think dudes need to be aware of how women read stuff if they really want to meet someone.

Wow you all just kind of beat up on Gary. I know when I posted something like that I kind of got beat up too. Honestly we are all single here and are all looking for that one. I do not think it helps any of us to make negative comments like this. Honestly I think such comments should be made privately.

Really if I was a young girl looking for an older guy I may be hesitant to reply just because of the negatism.
